£1,200 additional support from the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge to Calder Food Support, over the next 6 months.  This remarkable charity is run entirely by hard-working, generous, local volunteers. They provide food for local people in crisis, to tide them over until their circumstances change. They now distribute about 70 food bags each week in Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Luddenden Foot.  Their promotion of a “warm space” at Hebden Bridge Surgery has proved popular with users who appreciate a rest before they carry their food bags home and is especially valued by those with mobility issues. The café has encouraged social contact and created more opportunities for health care staff to interact with our users.
