Dodnaze Playgroup

The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge is delighted to announce a £300 grant to the Dodnaze Playgroup, a volunteer-led initiative providing essential early childhood experiences for local families. This grant will fund new equipment to enhance learning and play opportunities for children under five in our community.

The Playgroup operates weekly at the Dodnaze Community Centre, creating a warm and welcoming environment for under-fives and their parents or carers. Run by dedicated volunteers Cathy and Luna, the playgroup focuses on quality experiences through indoor activities, messy play, and outdoor engagement that encourages children to connect with their environment while developing crucial social skills.

The £300 grant will enable the playgroup to purchase much-needed equipment that will significantly enhance their offerings. Beyond the direct advantages for the children, the enhanced playgroup will offer parents and carers a valuable opportunity to socialise with others in a supportive setting.

We look forward to seeing the playgroup grow and thrive with these new resources.
