Forget Me Not

Emergency Support for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice

The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge has awarded a £2,500 grant to the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in response to their recent urgent appeal.

Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, a vital institution in West Yorkshire, is facing a critical funding gap of £1 million due to rising staff and energy costs, uncertainty over future statutory funding, and a challenging year for fundraising. This financial strain has forced the hospice to consider potential staff redundancies and changes to their care delivery model.

The hospice provides indispensable support and care to children with life-shortening conditions and their families, offering services both at their purpose-built facility in Huddersfield and in families' own homes. Despite being rated 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, they rely heavily on community support to raise around 90% of their annual income.

Our grant is a small but significant contribution to their urgent appeal, and we hope it will help alleviate some of the financial pressure they are currently facing.

You can help too.  Forget Me Not is too precious to lose.  Every donation, no matter how small, counts towards ensuring these vital services continue to be available to those who need them most.  You can donate directly through their website or participate in one of their upcoming events.
