Sue Millen, on behalf of Friends of Riverside School, said: “We were delighted to receive a grant of £1,000 from Hebden Bridge Rotary Club towards our laptop campaign. We had been working hard to reach our target of £8,000 but still had quite a long way to go to raise all the funds in one academic year. The grant enabled us to get that bit closer to our target and made the final push much easier. We were thrilled to hit our target on the final day of the school year! The 17 laptops we can now purchase will ensure that there are enough laptops for one between two pupils and this will significantly enhance their learning and skill development in IT.
