We have been very impressed with the dedicated group of volunteers at Valley Community Meals. They see and hear on a weekly basis, how much the provision means to the people using it. We are pleased to offer ongoing support, with a new £600 grant, spread over the next six months. Over 50 people now regularly attend, from 5 p.m. on Monday evenings, at the Good Shepherd in Mytholmroyd for a three-course home-made meal in a friendly warm environment. The meals are free and as well as the wholesome food, the evenings provide support for lonely and isolated people. It’s a fun and sociable event.

The money for our grants comes mostly from our fund-raising events, such as the Hebden Bridge Duck Race and Vintage Weekend. We are very grateful to everyone who supports them and we look forward to seeing you all beside the river and on the park in 2024!
